Crimp Cares

We’re always looking for ways to make our operations as sustainable as possible. This is an ongoing pursuit. Here are some of the measures Crimp and our suppliers are taking to make sure the health of the environment is made a priority in each step of the supply chain.

Locally Grown

Each Crimp is made from Australian grown merino wool.

Locally Made

Each Crimp is handmade in Reservoir (Melbourne) by our amazing manufacturers, Anto Apparel, meaning it’s made as locally as possible.

Slow Fashion

We selected a renewable, natural and durable fibre that will survive all conditions and remain your life-long pal (we’re anti fast fashion!).

Waste Reduction

Anto Apparel has partnered with A Fitting Connection to reduce its textile waste. Material off-cuts are provided to educate students on how to up-cycle fabric into toys, accessories and games. This means that unused fabric from Crimp’s production is repurposed, meaning less waste and more great merino wool products elsewhere!

Sustainable Packaging

Crimp’s packaging, produced by our friends at noissue, is printed with soy-based inks on FSC-certified, recycled paper, and is acid, sulphur and lignin-free. Our mailer bags are produced by Hero Packaging, who cleverly produce packaging out of PBAT and cornstarch. What’s more - both the tissue and the mailer can be deposited in your compost at home! In addition, all of our cards and swing tags are made from 100% recycled, carbon neutral uncoated Ecostar paper.

Ceremoni - investing in future generations

At the end of each production run, Crimp donates $1.50 per hat to Ceremoni; an incredible program run across Northern Territory that aims to empower and engage young First Nations people, with a focus on girls, through the creativity of the fashion ecosystem.
